What Is a Vedic Drink? The 10 Herbs Inside VAYO Daily

"Vedic drink" is printed on every VAYO can, and people often ask us what it means. In short: a drink built around herbs and spices that have been part of India's Vedic and Ayurvedic tradition for centuries. Here is what that means in practice, and what is inside VAYO Daily.
Where the word "Vedic" comes from
The Vedas are among the oldest texts of India. Ayurveda, India's traditional system of wellbeing, grew from this same body of knowledge. Many of the spices in an Indian kitchen today, such as cumin, fennel, cardamom and black pepper, have been used in this tradition for generations.
A Vedic drink takes those familiar ingredients and puts them into a simple everyday drink.
What makes VAYO a molecular Vedic drink
VAYO Daily combines two things: a hydrosol of ten Vedic herbs and spices, and water infused with molecular hydrogen (up to 2 ppm, sealed in a can). A hydrosol is the fragrant water collected when herbs are gently distilled, which is how the flavour of the herbs gets into the drink without sugar or syrup.
The ten herbs and spices in every can
- Ashwagandha — a root traditionally used in Ayurveda for centuries.
- Fennel (saunf) — the after-meal seed found in Indian homes and restaurants.
- Cumin (jeera) — an everyday kitchen spice with a warm, earthy note.
- Carom seeds (ajwain) — small seeds with a sharp, thyme-like aroma.
- Cardamom (elaichi) — the fragrant pod behind masala chai and sweets.
- Triphala — a classic Ayurvedic blend of three fruits: amalaki, bibhitaki and haritaki.
- Fenugreek (methi) — seeds with a slightly bitter, nutty flavour.
- Cinnamon (dalchini) — a warming bark that adds natural sweetness without sugar.
- Nigella seeds (kalonji) — the small black seeds on naan.
- Black pepper (kali mirch) — the spice that rounds out the blend.
Every one of these has been traditionally used in Ayurveda. We list them because we think you should know exactly what you are drinking, not because any single herb is a cure for anything.
Four flavours, one base
All four VAYO Daily flavours share the same herbal and hydrogen base:
- Original — clean and balanced, the base blend as it is.
- Fenna — led by fennel, cool and gently sweet.
- Roast — a roasted, coffee-style flavour.
- Zest — bright orange and amla notes.
Each 250 ml can has zero sugar, zero calories and no preservatives.
How to enjoy it
Serve it chilled and drink it within 15 minutes of opening, while the hydrogen is still in the can. Try keeping one can as a daily ritual: mid-morning, after lunch, or after a workout.
